Just simple cutting is not enough. Our spending problems have less to do with the amount of money and more to do with the application of the funds. We need to cut spending by seeing where it is spent in each category.
I do not believe in progressive income taxes and would like to see a move away from income as a tax base. I am willing to look at other forms and balances of taxes which provide for the preservation of rights. I do not belive in "sin taxes" or taxes against a certain behavior.
